Alternate Epic Home
Long ago when Epic Titan Legions a new game and Epic 40,000 wasn't out, I
became frustrated with much of how Space Marine played. I was particularly
annoyed at how it didn't seem to reflect reality or encourage tactics
that modern forces use. So I did what any self-respecting gamer does; I
created a new game system! Actually it was based on Epic, but heavily
modified so that it played very differently. Both I and others liked the
game. Hopefully you will too.
Here are the game itself, the unit descriptions and the titans for the
game. You will need a copy of Space Marine or Titan Legions since
the rules talk only about the changes from the base rules. Some of this
may be a little rough as I haven't looked at this stuff for many years.
House Rules Here is an article that I posted to the Epic newsgroup years back that explains the rules and the reasons for them.
Alternate Epic System Here is a little more detailed, but less readable, set of rules for the game.
Unit Descriptions Here are all of the infantry and vehicle statistics and special rules.
Titans Here are the titan statistics for the system.
Some of these documents are all PDF files. If you do not see the documents after
clicking on the links you probably need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader. Click
on the Get Acrobat Reader graphic at the bottom of the page and follow the
instructions.
